Booked with: Direct Type: Cottage holidays Adults: 4 Children: 2
My family stayed at Greenfields Cottages earlier this summer. There were two pretty cottages, Lyme Cottage (for four) and Ivy Cottage (for two), so my husband, children and I stayed in Lyme, while my parents stayed in Ivy. This arrangement was great for spending time all together, and also providing us with convenient baby sitters whilst my husband and I went out for the evening in beautiful Chester (just 7 miles away).
The cottages were spacious, brand new and so light and airy - lovely high ceilings - not something you often get with cottages! They came with manicured gardens. The owner is a landscape gardener and so they were perfect. Lovely outdoor area for eating and drinking. Also they owners let us use their own land (acres of it!) which was landscaped and great for my children to play in - totally enclosed and safe.
We went for days out to Chester, North Wales (attempted Snowdon! Thanks goodness for the train up!), and the Wirral where we spent a day on 'Red Rocks' playing on the beach. Should also mention the free hamper of home-grown fruit and veg they gave us when we arrived!
Overall, wonderful holiday and would recommend.
