About the Area

A brief description of Pembrokeshire and what you can expect to experience in the area of your park.

With a predominantly coastal border, Pembrokeshire is a beautiful choice for a holiday park, lodge or caravan holiday. Some of Wales’s finest coastal scenery arises from the natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Inland, the Offa’s Dyke and Glyndwr’s Way National Trails show off the dramatic countryside of the county. Sea Safaris, a Dinosaur Park, wildlife centres galore such as Ocean Lab at Fishguard Harbour, thriving arts and crafts outlets…there are plenty of intriguing activities for the kids. Not to mention South Wales’s top theme park, Oakwood Theme Park, for a real treat.

Pembrokeshire has more award-winning beaches than any other UK county. Hotspots such as Newgale beach, Abercastle Beach, Dale beach and Barafundle Bay are renowned for their sandy stretches and are great for all manner of watersports and games. Whitesands beach boasts the best surfing in the country so is hugely popular. Quiet coves such as Amroth, Aberfelin and Caerfai are enchanting to explore and reveal intriguing rock pools to play in at low tide. To take breathtaking walks with views of dramatic cliff formations, explore Druidston, Lindsway Bay and Church Doors Cove to name but a few. Blissful sand dunes surround beaches such as Manorbier, Freshwater East, Newport Sands and Poppit.

St David’s city is in a fantastic coastal location within a valley, with an inspiring cathedral, numerous ancient remains and a port offering boat trips to the magical RSPB Nature Reserve on Ramsey Island. Tenby is also a must-see town, with a friendly ambience and a delightful seaside feel. There are wonderful old buildings, sandy peaches and a peaceful promenade as well as thriving cultural activity including an annual arts festival.
