This county of wide-open landscapes, glorious beaches and characteristic resorts is a firm favourite for a relaxing break or family holiday. Parks, lodges and caravans are positioned in ideal locations to enjoy the delights of the seaside and the distinct ambience of the Broads, as well as placing you within easy reach of the enticing countryside.

The beaches, resorts and coastal routes that surround Norfolk are in a world of their own. From Hunstanton, with its friendly and traditional elegance, along the North Norfolk Heritage Coast to adorable Sheringham, with its colourful houses and quirky shops. Cromer and Hemsby lie to the north east – Cromer is famous for its delicious Cromer Crab whilst both resorts have lovely sand dunes, safe swimming and an array of seaside family entertainments. Probably Britain’s best-loved resort, Great Yarmouth lies a stone’s throw from several holiday parks and boasts the glorious Golden Mile of sand and a lively, colourful atmosphere. The historic Great Yarmouth piers are fun to explore, picturesque and playful with theatres, games, illuminations and shows.

Inland from Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads are rich with tranquil riverside scenery and plenty of opportunities for watersports in the lakes and reservoirs. Sailing, canoeing, fishing and more will keep you well entertained, and peaceful kids’ attractions such as the model village, wildlife and animal centres and several impressive stately homes and gardens are ideal for calming the seaside hysteria.

For a different day out, a trip to the historic city of Norwich is well worth the short journey – a picturesque and artistic city, with the county’s best shopping and no end of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy. Surrounding villages are bursting with delicious local produce, quaint and quality farmers’ markets and excellent local pubs.
