About the Area

A brief description of Lincolnshire and what you can expect to experience in the area of your park.

From your lodge or holiday park, Lincolnshire brings you UK holidays at their best. Enjoy the nation’s favourite seaside resorts, refresh on award-winning and enchanting sandy beaches with safe swimming and an array of activities, admire breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife along the county’s untouched coastal stretches and explore lush green countryside laced with ancient woodland and blessed with a distinctive character. Skegness and Mablethorpe tick all the boxes for family fun by the sea. The clean and colourful ambience has something for everyone – from fun and games to genteel tea and cake. All will enjoy the Skegness Seal Sanctuary or the Fantasy Island indoor themed resort, they are perfect even when the weather isn’t. Venture up the coast to Cleethorpes for extensive golden sands, an elegant traditional pier and plenty of watersports options – not to mention the fantastic Pleasure Island Theme Park. The delightful seaside village of Chapel St Leonards is nestled in peaceful countryside, rolling out into long sandy stretches with safe swimming and indoor activity complexes.

Despite all this activity, it is still so easy to find glorious unspoilt stretches of Lincolnshire coast. Moggs Eye, Gibralter Point, Crook Bank and Saltfleetby are secluded and somewhat romantic spots – grab a picnic and make the day your own.

The countryside of the Wolds and Vales, and the gentle landscapes rolling down towards the coast are ripe for walking and cycling. Several long distance footpaths, as well as shorter routes pass through picture-perfect villages and rich farmland.

To admire the ancient cathedral, wander through picturesque shopping streets and explore city attractions, head to the city of Lincoln. There are galleries, museums and shows in the Cultural Quarter and relaxing food and drink to be enjoyed on the Brayford Waterfront.
