About the Area

A brief description of Lancashire and what you can expect to experience in the area of your park.

Lancashire has it all for a varied and fun-filled holiday – active and exciting for families, romantic and scenic for couples and leisurely for those who simply want to get away from it all. Renowned seaside resorts, fabulous countryside for walking and cycling, a wealth of industrial history and enjoyable cities, towns and villages make Lancashire an excellent choice for a holiday park, lodge or caravan holiday.

The resorts of Lytham, Morecambe and Blackpool offer traditional seaside entertainments and excellent starting points for coastal walks and bike rides. From aqua parks to rollercoasters to sea-life centres… plenty on offer for the kids, whilst adults will enjoy the attractive piers and classic waterfronts. The Lancashire Coastal Way is a wonderful route for bird watching and nature trails and the renowned Lancashire Golf Coast is a real treat for golfers.

The Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is wonderful for exploring, with picturesque heather-clad countryside and gentle hills. The Ribble Valley Sculpture Trail, Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens, the Roman museum at Ribchester and the impressive Clitheroe Castle are all excellent attractions within the Forest of Bowland area. Walking, cycling, birdwatching and picnicking are all popular in the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which crosses the border to Cumbria and the stunning Lake District. Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve attracts over 200,000 visitors a year to its intriguing grounds and excellent facilities.

For city attractions head to Lancaster, a thriving city with theatres, shops, restaurants and cinemas, in attractive and historic surroundings. Good parking and everything you need for an urban fix, rain or shine.
