About the Area

A brief description of Cardiganshire and what you can expect to experience in the area of your park.

A holiday park, lodge or caravan in Cardiganshire, or Caredigion, places you within easy reach of Wales’s most-loved holiday destinations. The bliss of Cardigan Bay, the expanse of scenery from coastal paths and bold cliff-tops, pretty seaside towns and lots of interesting things to do and see mean that your stay in this lovely Welsh county will be a memorable one.

The protected Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay has plenty to offer beach-goers, watersports fans and nature-lovers. The lively harbour of Aberaeron is a hive of sailing activity, with excellent cycle paths and footpaths nearby leading into the picturesque Aeron Valley. From New Quay, you can take a boat trip to spot Dolphins or try a number of active sports. Aberporth is home to a beautiful sandy beach, with the nearby coastal viewpoint at Llangrannog boasting what is probably the finest scenery in Wales. The picture-perfect village of Tresaith is well worth a visit, with an enchanting sandy beach. A fantastic coastal path between Tresaith and Aberporth is an ideal excursion.

If you can tear tourself away from the coast, explore the impressive valley of Devil’s Bridge – alive with crashing waterfalls, impressive bridges and the Vale of Rheidol steam railway offering a scenic one-hour journey between Devil’s Bridge and Aberystwyth.
