I stayed in the the Travelodge at Fourwentways which, to be honest, is a bit of a drive outside Cambridge but an easy one nonetheless.
Facilities are standard and service was particualy good at this Travelodge, not something that is always the same across some I have stayed in. Prices were cheap (i booked about 4 months ahead for a business meeting) and there is a little chef on hand should you wish to 'dine out' ;).
Easy access to the M11 for London and about a 10 minute drive to the outskirts of Cambridge. Petrol station in the vicinity.
