The snow here was great and we had a good amount of skiing. The down side was that we found the shops, bars and restaurants incredibly expensive! Don't go expecting a budget holiday if you like eating out! The main issue I had with Meribel was that the general atmosphere is not very friendly - you altogether feel like you're being ripped off. There is a certain arrogance that you get in some resorts and this place was full of it. It's possible we were just unlucky with the people we encountered, but it certainly made the overall holiday less enjoyable.
