Rail Oxenholme Reviews

This was the London Euston to Oxenholme fast service on a friday evening. The journey is unbelievably quick at about 3 hours, but it is expensive. I couldn't find any tickets under £90 return. This would be more acceptable if the train was not completely overbooked. There were no available seats, no service of any kind at the buffet, so I effectively paid £90 to be cramped in a corridor with no food or refreshment for 3 hours. Not what you need at the end of the week. I guess the answer is to book First Class, but surely you shouldn't have to do that just to ensure a tolerable journey!
