Overall our trip to Gran Canaria was reallly nice but I do have a slight gripe about the self catering properties we were staying in.
After booking what was a fairly cheap jaunt across to Gran Canaria on lastminute.com we arrived to be greeted by a rather lacklustre welcome.
It may have been simply because it was the off season but the staff seemed really not bothered we were there. The property itself was littered with cockroaches, which we quickly shoed out of the vicinity! Shower was hot for about 5 seconds, although it wasnt too bad because the weather was so hot.
I know its normal not to expect 5 star accommodation when booking cheaply but we would expect something better
