Our experience of the Parkes Hotel in London was rather annoying. While the hotel was nicely equipped with facilities and the rooms were spacious we specifically asked for a non-smoking room and found on our entrance to the room, an ashtray!
It was also obvious to us the room was (or had been) a smoking room as the smell was fairly strong.
In general the location is good but there are many hotels to choose from in this area of London.
