The Melia Jardines was by all accounts a great place to stay. It looked great in the pictures and having booked a lastminute deal to the Costa Adeje area of Tenerife we satisfied we would have a great time.

Let me say first that the staff at this hotel were all very friendly and couldnt do enough to help us. However they were let down by the facilities and the cooking.

On several occasions we ate undercooked food from the restaurant and bar by the pool. The rooms were untidy and the minibar empty. Entertainment was non existant, disappointing as we had to walk quite far to get to any extra curricular activities.

We managed to survive eating out but it did take a significant chunk out of our budget. Avoid the Melia Jardines del Teide if you can
