We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Edinburgh around 6 months ago during the height of summer and have a couple of gripes to share on the blacklist.
The first was that the air con didnt seem to work while we were there, which was quite uncomfortable on a hot day, and sticky at night.
Secondly the breakfast menu was bland and pricey, so we avoided eating there altogether!
Having said that the rooms were clean and practical, what you would expect from this hotel chain so it wasnt too bad. If you do stay there check everything is working as it should, especially the air con, BEFORE you accept the room for the night.
