Carrier: British Airways Adults: 2 Children: None Class: Economy class Duration: Medium haul Legroom: Excellent Hold Luggage: 32kg
Flight was brilliant from start to finsh, the cabin crew made sure me and my mum were sitting together and did their best to accomodate my needs as I was little nervous after not flying for the past 10 years. The leg room in economy was fantastic, I am tall and usually have a problem but this was fabulous. The food was of a very high standard and also the wines provide were matched to the meals. The free drinks was also very good and the touch screen entertainment built into the headrests was of excellent quality with a wide variety of choice. The temperature was also just right in the cabin which all made for a very enjoyable and comfortable flight.

Carrier: Silverjet Adults: 1 Children: None Class: Business class Duration: Long haul Legroom: Excellent Hold Luggage: 20kg Cabin Luggage: 20kg
I took the silverjet silver class last year from Luton and must say it was one of the best trans atlantic flights I have had the pleasure of experiencing. If you are like me and travel frequently on business to the states it can become stressful to sit through a long haul flight if you are not comfortable.
The lounge on silver class was great and served as the perfect stress free start to the journey, avoiding all the queues and usual administration associated with consumer holidays. I could work on some figures while waiting and the staff were highly attentive. The check in was around 30 minutes, as advertised.
Although Luton is a fair way outside London when you are travelling to the States it makes not a a lot of difference and with the private terminal it's not too bad.
The actual flight provides excellent service. There is a plethora or movies to select from and audio to let the hours pass quickly. You can also watch TV from various stations. The seats are spacious and give an air of privacy - much like a private jet I might say. Food was excellent and I arrived in New York feeling ready to go.
All in all a much more superior experience to BA and the check ins at Heathrow. The price point is attractive for business users too.
