Just thought I would say that we got a great deal with Hertz during a family holiday in Greece. In the end we could afford to rent two cars between us and I think we paid less that £50 per car for four days!

After a family holiday in Athens, Greece I returned our hire car to the Hertz depot at Athens Airport.
Usually when taking a car back to the company depot the staff inspect the car for any damage that may have occured. When we gave the car back to the Hertz people the guy walked around the vehicle for a closer inspection and suddenly accused us of scratching the bodywork!
It turns out that this guy had walked round to the other side of the car and keyed the door frame out of view of any of us! Fortunately one of our Greek friends confronted this guy and he admitted damaging the car and suddenly dropped the accusations. How dodgy is that?
So a word of advice, steer clear of shady Greek staff at Hertz Athens! It didnt really spoil the holiday much thanks to our friend but we were suprised at the attitude shown.
