Antisamos beach is on the north eastern side of Kefalonia and is one of the most stunning places to visit on this stunning island. Flanked by two tree covered mountains and expanding into a pebble based beach, the water is a perfect turquoise colour and is perfectly clear. We were based in Lassi on the west side of the island so we used our hire car to get over there. It took around an hour to arrive via some stunning mountain roads.

The beach warden actually encourages the fish to swim near bathers (apparently) so its a great place to do some snorkling.

We went in October and the temperature was around 30 degrees. Sunloungers were 6 euros each with a small catering outlet at both ends of the beach. Behind the beach sits a nice restuarant and some small toilets. I can imagine in high season it can be a bit nasty in there...
