A great hotel in most aspects with plenty of amenities on site. Great staff who are very attentive. The only drawback is the food....it is buffet style...kept warm and sometimes runs out.Good location - Close to harbour and just a stroll away from the beach.

Our two children booked us a really great holiday to the dom rep for my husbands and my birthdays.After a nine hour flight we were brought to our room which was beautiful, the hotel surrounderings were breathtaking. The hotel was a wonderful place we the staff could not do enough for you, it was pure bliss.On one of the trips, orginised outside the hotel, we went on a catarmeran trip, it was just grrrrreat. First of all I fell as a massive wave came across the boat, and as a member of the crew came to help me, I ended up pulling him down with me, it was so funny, you had to be there (even 2 german guests could not help laughing) and they kept themselves to themselves at the very back. On the hotel point, I would recommend going to this one, it was just the bees knees for great fun. The food was out of this world, some of the food was really exotic. Because it was both our birthdays, the hotel went out of their way to do everything they could to make us feel most welcome.We didnt want to leave.If I had to sum up the whole trip, all I could say would be pure heaven. I have since returned to the dom rep, stayed at another hotel, but it was not anywere like the HOTEUR DORADAS, I have never stayed in another hotel like it. I just want to thank my kids for the wonderful trip of our lifetime

Myself and our family booked the Louis Phaethon Hotel in Paphos through Thomson in the hope of staying in what was billed as a 'family friendly' hotel. There was a lack of lighting in the corridors at night which worried us slighlty and the childrens play area was a concrete mess surrounded by rubbish. In addition the pool didnt seem too clean but was well used by other residents.As far as the location goes the beach was a no go area but the surrounding area & shops were good enough.

Can recommend plenty of things about this cruise. The staff were fantastic (which makes a big difference if you are stuck on a boat with them!) and the bar and restaurant were very comfortable and not massively pricey as you'd expect. We didn't opt for the drinks package (£150 I think) and we were pleased as I think you end up having to pay more for certain drinks anyway, but we spent plenty of time in the bar as it was just a nice place to relax even if you're not drinking. The talks about the area were very well chosen and we found ourselves learning a lot on the trip. When on land, I'd say try the local tourist offices for day trips as the Thomson ones are good but expensive. It does take the hassle out booking with them, though. We went on the Over Land Tour in Flam and it was about £75, a lot, but we did have a good time and didn't have to think about haggling or organising anything... Other days we just stayed on the ship and found ourselves enjoying just taking photos and soaking up the atmosphere - amazing scenery! Full marks to the location and the tour operator.

Watch out for the junior rooms here at the Dreams Hotel, they dont feature the jacuzzis, or at least ours didnt. Apart from that the hotel wasnt bad, just not as swanky as we had expected. Food was not bad, but we had a bit of stomach trouble with the seafood. Drinks and bar were good. Overall just not up to expectations

I have stayed at this hotel twice now the 1st time was in 2002 and I returned 2007 (Summer) I have to say that a few things have gone downhill since 2001 (mainly the food) but on the whole still a nice hotel. The Family rooms are a joke they are at best a small double we upgraded to a suite when we arrived as our child is 7 and we would have never managed for 2 weeks in this room. The suite was very nice but it did cost an extra £450.00 (cyprus) The kids club is quite good but mainly for the under sevens. The main pool is good for couples but no good for families with children, the childrens pool is located at the St George appartments next door and this is also where the kids club is this is a great pool with a nice pool bar and a pizza express!!! However the people who are staying at the St George Garden appartments are on an all inclusive basis and the St George Hotel guests are staying on a Half Board basis so be prepared to pay a small fortune at this bar, we did ask if we could upgrade to All Inclusive but were informed that this was not possible. The hotel entertainment was okay and the food was also ok for adults but for kids it was very poor the childrens buffet was chips fish fingers, beans and plain pasta every night!! I would not go back to ths hotel again as it is not very family friendly although it would be good choice for older couples.

A fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Reception was great, very helpful and polite, the rooms could be considered a little dated, woodchip and teak but spotlessly clean and well fitted out, all rooms have a nice little private balcony overlooking sandy bays, frequented by the boats...good people watching opportunities :-) The dining room was very nice and the food quality and variety was 4 star at least, well cooked and hot with a great selection. All the staff were superb, the cleaners came every morning and left the room spotless with fresh towels and beds made, hoovered and polished. The hotel is usually booked by the elderly, very few children and not really a stag or hen party accomodation, there was however 2 there when we were and they were no trouble at all. Entertainment varies between good and excellent, the Riverdance tribute was superb and the entertainment hosts worked their socks off to ensure people had a good time. Downside...25 Euros for the room safe is dear in my opinion, it is also extra if you want a fridge, but dont let this spoil your opinion..it is a great hotel and well worth going to. Would I return..no...the exchange rate of the Euro has made it very expensive and I also feel the local shops and bars are upping their prices too much, not the hotels fault but it has become a very dear spot to have a vacation.

Hi a great holiday at this hotel in October 07. Rooms are massive with 2 double beds and great wet rooms. Hotel Staff were very polite and helpful and the cleaning staff were the best our room was alway clean and tidy. I am very particular about cleanliness of hotel bathrooms and I have to say that these were smelling of bleach which I like!!! The food at the hotel was good the international buffet was great for breakfast and dinner the pool/beach bars were great at lunch time with grilled fish/chicken/port and salad. Pasta and burgers/chips for the kids. The Italian restaurant was not so good a poor menu selection and no pizza!!!! The BBQ restaurant was nice but not very child friendly they did not have much for fussy kids. The Kids Club is okay for younger kids but not much on offer for 7+ kids same with the evening entertainment this leaves a lot to be desired, however the TV in your room has American Cable so you can always catch a movie. TheSpa is fab and the massage is a must!!!! The main negative that I have about this hotel is that the bars are very slow and not well equiped they never have diet coke/lemonade and although they do have plenty of soft drinks for the kids they are loaded with sugar. All in all we had a great time at this hotel NO upset tummys and we did not encounter anyone that had either.

Egypt is wicked but I definitely picked the wrong hotel with this one - embarrassing as i arranged the trip for some mates! Food and drinks were seriously bad - food was the same poor selection of pasta/strange meat/rice every day. Even a member of staff commented on the rice making people ill - how bad is that! Maybe we would have been more tolerant if the booze was better... The pool was really nice it has to be said - but at busy times (as anywhere I suppose) it was impossible to get a lounger and relax. Definitely choose somewhere else if you can, but don't despair if you've already booked as there are great excursions to be had to places like Cairo (best bit of our trip) and Egypt is a brill place to visit!

A fantastic hotel with its own private beach. Although situated in Naama Bay with all its restuarants, bars and nightlife it was very quiet at night. The hotel is spotlessly clean and has extremely friendly and helpful staff. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and have recommended it to friends who have stayed there and agree.
