The snow here was great and we had a good amount of skiing. The down side was that we found the shops, bars and restaurants incredibly expensive! Don't go expecting a budget holiday if you like eating out! The main issue I had with Meribel was that the general atmosphere is not very friendly - you altogether feel like you're being ripped off. There is a certain arrogance that you get in some resorts and this place was full of it. It's possible we were just unlucky with the people we encountered, but it certainly made the overall holiday less enjoyable.

The skiing in this resort is fantastic. there are so many varied runs across all spectrums of ability to suit any skier/snowboarder for many weeks. There are 3 parts to Serre Chevalier and all are just as good as each other. Plenty of runs, good ski lifts, mountain restaurants aplenty and easy to understand routes. Nightlife was not so good in the hotel but as soon as you head out to the resort centre, there is an abundance of bars and restaurants to keep one satisfied all night if necessary! Extra activities are good here with skidooing, outside thermal baths a short bus ride away, ice rinks. We had a lot of fun at this resort and would certainly go back as there is too much skiing to cover in just 1 week. We did nearly a different run everytime and still didn't even cover half of the piste map! Would thoroughly recommend this resort to anyone.

Stayed in the Fairmont MOntreal then by shuttle bus to the Fairmont Mt Treblant. Fairmont very good hotels good service. Mt Treblant Fairmont Very good position you can board straight to the door of the hotel, hand your board to the Service team & pick it up when youwant to return to the slopes. Good selection of bars & restuarants in resort. One mountain with two sides pisted. Runs to resorts good , efficient lift system. Some flat sections to harass boarders. Lots of Ski guides waiting at Sumit to give good advice on the best runs / snw conditions etc.
