We visited Faweather Grange near Ickley in Yorkshire recently and it was a stunning experience for a couple. On arrival we were greeted by Debbie who was warm and friendly - just what you need after a long drive up the length of the country! Our lodge was the Curlew 2 and it was in great condition. The beds were fine (a little soft maybe) and the overall decor was excellent. Cooking facilities were great as was the bathroom. The best bit of this break though was definitely the Hot Tub on the decking outside! We spent every evening in there and I can tell everyone it is a fantastic experience in the freezing air and clear night sky....Loved the whole holiday thank you very much!

Had a brilliant family holiday at this park. The food, facilities and general features of the park were all of a high standard, including the pool which was clean and fresh. The thing that made a difference in my opinion was that this park does not allow single sex groups or young groups - only families or couples can stay. The place is perfect for a quiet break and we had no noise or disruptions at all during our stay. The luxury lodges are really impressive also, worth forking out a little more in my opinion.

Griffon Forest in Flaxton is a must for a romantic get away. Having stayed there twice now I'm already looking forward to our third stay. This place does hold good memories for me as on our first visit my now husband proposed, and our second stay was our honeymoon. On each visit we stayed in a 2 birth lodge, also known as Poaches Lodge. The Lodge is open plan with king size 4 poster bed and 6 foot jacuzzi which is open plan in the bedroom. A great wow factor when you 1st walk in. It has all mod cons of tv, dvd, washing machine, & dish washer. Outside is a BBQ area, sun loungers & hot-tub with enough privacy to sit together and enjoy a glass of wine - which along with chocolates is complimentary on arrival. The birds and squirals are very friendly so buy some nuts from reception as you arrive. We found it took us a full day to settle into the relaxed way of living, but soon enjoyed not caring what time it was, and just pleased our selves with no interuption to privacy. Nearby and in walking distance is the Tykes restaurant which we booked into on 2 nights of our stay. To be honest though, even though the food is delicious, we enjoyed using the BBQ, listening to the wildlife and using the hot tub as much as possible.

This is the third time I have stayed at Mount Brioni in Seaton, Cornwall. Travelled there in June 2008, and spent a lovely week there. Love the views, it's set on a hill with the beach directly below. You can hear the sea with the windows open! lovely. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was that there where building works going on, which started at 8am every day,would have been nice to have been told that before we booked! Normally its so quiet its definately a place for relaxation, to get away from it all. The village only comprises of two pubs, a newsagent and two cafes, so its really quiet. The nearest town is Looe, and theres a monkey sanctuary really near too. The apartments are always really well done, plenty of equipment in the kitchen if you want to cook while you are there. Lovely balcony as we were on the first floor. I would recommend anyone to stay there if they want somewhere really quiet to stay.

We stayed at bluestone for a long weekend in August. We were in one of the cottages in the centre of the village. The cottage was lovely and spacious and very well equipped with a quality feel. It wasn't too noisy either. The village has a few good shops and a small play area. The pool was lovely and warm, with really good slides that my 5 year old loved as they all ended in shallow water. You get complimentary towels on each visit to the pool and towels in lodges too. All the staff were lovely and helpful. My five year old went to the pj party on the saturday night, which was just 5 pounds for two hours, with snacks. He loved it, and we went for a nice peaceful meal. There are a few restaurants of average price and the food was good, although you didn't get too much and service was a bit slow. Spa wasn't yet open but looks promising. The area isn't yet established, but we expected that. We also liked the theme park right next door. I would def visit again. Great for families and couples. Quieter than its competitors and well worth a visit.
