The Paxos Beach Hotel is a wonderful, idyllic family run hotel on the tiny island of Paxos, south of Corfu. The island itself beautiful and unspoilt with friendly locals and very little in the way of noise or traffic. This was a very quiet and rural holiday for us and we explored must of the island on foot. Gaios is a lovely town with clean and active harbour. The food on this holiday was pleasant, if a little basic but the peace and quiet surpassed everything we hoped for. The Paxos Beach Hotel has its own private beach and no swimming pool. Accomodation is in many little chalets built into the cliff side and with views to mainland greece and albania on fine days. The only downsides were the sea travel for me and the total disorganisation at Corfu Airport I would recommend this quiet island for a quiet break, it reminded me of how holidaying on greek islands were 25 years ago.
