We stayed at The Barcelo Hotel, Caleta de Fuste, Fuerteventura for two weeks over this February half term. It is in an excellent location, overlooking the lovely sandy beach of Caleta, with shops, bars, restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is large and very worthy of its 4 star rating. I would recommend it to anyone and we are likely to book it up again next winter. The weather here in winter is usually very good, temperatures around 70-75 degrees and the sea is warm. This hotel has a large heated pool as well as a cold one, a gym with sauna, jacuzzi, good entertainment for adults and children during the daytime and in the evening. The food was very good and varied and the staff were very obliging, most speaking fairly good English. Rooms are of a high standard, cleaned daily and they also give you towels to use for the pool. I would say this is an ideal hotel for couples and families.

Lovely room with super - comfy huge bed and soft pillows. The room was extremely clean and well presented. There are tea and coffee making facilities provided in the room, and they dont mind re-stocking for you. Nice LCD TV, although the reception wasn't very good. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The only downside was that the drinks and food were a bit expensive, £11 for a fish and chips bar meal! £3.25 for a pint of beer. The breakfast which was included in the price was superb, with freshly squeezed juices, various cereals, yoghurt, toast and items from a set menu cooked to order , delicious. I can recommend this hotel to anyone.

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 18 years it is an true bed and breakfast no frills it has a bar but Ian and Derek the proprietors have the knack of making it home from home its reasonably priced the food is good and its close to all blackpools amenities without being too noisy. They don't accept noisy hen and stag parties like alot so it always has a homely feel.

5 Star service throughout, the room and resort were pristine. The pool warm with awesome under water music and the poolside bar was excellent. The free front of line passes to Universal parks where priceless. Next time will stay much longer than 2 nights.

Arrived to a pleasent welcome 13 april 08. Staff all very helpful and polite, bedrooms ample beds rather too hard for our liking. All inclusive food rather plain but very good with two pools to choose from indoor preferred this time of year. Entertainment was limited although we were just out of season - all in all very good all round value for money

Our experience of the Parkes Hotel in London was rather annoying. While the hotel was nicely equipped with facilities and the rooms were spacious we specifically asked for a non-smoking room and found on our entrance to the room, an ashtray! It was also obvious to us the room was (or had been) a smoking room as the smell was fairly strong. In general the location is good but there are many hotels to choose from in this area of London.

This hotel is a good 2*, the rooms were clean.Towels changed daily, and soap replaced. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, all self service, the range of cold meats and cheeses was limited. Bar service was good and bar meals very good. Dinner was good with a good selection of wines. The hotel is in a poorer area of London, but you do not feel threatened. There are good bus and tube links, the nearest tube station 100 metres.
